Fall Trends that You Should Actually Invest In

Every year, we are bombarded with a series of articles, posts, and Influencers telling us what is going to be the HOTTEST trend of the season. Frankly, I think most of it is bullsh*t.
*This is not an ad, though I did link some of the pieces to their product pages if you want to shop!*

As someone with a trendy sense of style, I enjoy using trends to create a new way of dressing, or adding a trendy piece to my closet to jazz up my more classic pieces. So these are the Fall Trends that I will actually be investing in and why.
Animal Prints
THIS ONE IS HUGE. If you don't own an animal print piece of clothing by the end of September then what are you even doing with your life. Or so it will seem. This trend is everywhere! I'm looking to add maybe a leopard print top into my wardrobe, but I am skipping out on zebra print. Can't shake the memories of Limited Too zebra print everything.

Love the way my friend Emily has styled these snake skin pants! Click to check out her page.

80's Trends
Shoulder pads, ridiculous colors, over the top clothing, and sparkles. The 80's was a magical time that I am truly sad I didn't get to experience. There are a lot of 80's trends that have resurfaced this season that I am excited to see pan out. I've recently added a yellow tweed jacket from Zara (purchased at Dress), that has some retro shoulders that I LOVE pairing with a simple white tee and jeans. I am excited to see all the ways I can incorporate these trends into my closet. Another 80's trend is the denim on denim on denim western wear trend. I do love a good Canadian Tuxedo.

Neons
This one is interesting. All over bright (not necessarily neon) colors were all over the Fall Runway, but I have a feeling this trend will not catch on in full force. Maybe add a neon scarf or accent pieces. I think I get one and see. Won't sink a ton of money in this one.

White Booties
I cheated I already own these. I got these last fall and I love them!! Another 80's trend that I am in love with. How long it will last?? I don't know, but for now I may add white western boots??? Not quite sold yet on the whole western thing.

Sneakers
HAHAHAHA Oh you know I am all over this trend. I have too many sneakers to count and I wear them all the time! I have the Adidas All Stars and I love rockin' them with jeans and a blazer, a wrap dress, or leggings of course. This trend is going to be here to stay. Mom Jeans
I currently own some "Mom" Jeans, but this trend is going to be interesting since this jean style isn't flattering on everyone. I like mine because they are comfortable, but they aren't the most flattering thing. Still undecided. May get one pair of dark wash.

2 tone Denim
I have 2 pairs of this trend and that's all I will ever need. They are really cool, but limiting. They work well in my wardrobe because I can spice up my classic pieces with them, however, I can't really wear them with anything else. Also I'm sad that I already put a hole in my favorite pair. I wouldn't get a ton of different pairs of this trend, but do put some money into them. No one needs to rip a hole in their jeans mid workday. Its rough.

Alligator Purses
I've thought of purchasing a small Alligator cross body (faux of course), but considering I just bought a purse, it has to wait. I know I don't want to invest a lot onto this trend, but I think its worth getting cute cheapy bag. Something to wear with a couple of outfits, but it would not become my every day bag. Here are a few that I've been considering.
