Throwback: Selvage Denim Challenge

Back during the spring semester of my sophomore year, I participated in the ITG Cone Denim Selvage Denim Challenge. The idea of the show was to be able to create different looks that were high end with the Selvage End Denim donated from ITG Cone Denim.
My look was inspired by Marie Antoinette and Monet. The idea was to make a classy garden dress with painted denim in the style of Monet, but with my limitations with pattern making, I unable to achieve the full vision of what I wanted. The look ultimately didn't make it to show, however, I was able to attend and help coordinate the backstage. That is when I realized that I really like the challenge and pace of backstage.
