Ke Kai: Critique 2

Lots of changes and challenges occurred during my second critique for Ke Kai, starting with the change in the name.
For the show, we video tape our intros and descriptions of our collections, so to verify my pronunciation of Makai, I google translated it to hear the pronunciation and noticed that Makai actually means Police. To be honest, I bursted out laughing. So now we are Ke Kai, which means sea.
This critique I planned on having my look for Liam completed (a compression short with crop top sweatshirt), Kaley's swimsuit completed (a long sleeve swimsuit top with bottoms) and Emily's one piece swimsuit done. Very little was actually completed.
Time management played a huge role in the downfall of this critique. I was traveling most of the weekends, and was unable to get my work done. I also order my fabric late because due to a banking error, my account was flagged, so I did not have any final fabric for my critique.
Thankfully, Liam's look was virtually complete through prototypes, so all I had to do was cut and construct when the fabric came. I have decided to redo his sweatshirt and print my logo on it since I did not love the fabric.
Kaley's look didn't make it. The top proved to be harder to construct than I anticipated, and I didn't even have a final prototype to show. I finally have been able to complete a final prototype this week, however, the critique was two weeks ago. The bottoms also proved to not have enough booty coverage.
Emily's look was the best. The final fabric came in, fit was only a little off, so I was actually happy with this product, even though I was unable to get hemming complete.
Overall, this month was trying, but it will benefit me since I am now more motivated to complete the rest of my collection on time and with the skill and quality that I want.
