4th of July Kick Off!

YAY INDEPENDENCE DAY! And for the first time in years I have the 4th of July off and I am at the beach celebrating properly.
First thing is first, I find the 4th of July to be the hardest holiday to dress for. Yes, I want to rock some red, white, and blue, but I also don't want to buy a piece just to wear it once a year because every other time I look at it all I can see is it being a 4th of July piece. Thankfully, I located this crop top from ASOS!! Its just a simple red, white, and blue striped crop top that I paired with my ASOS high waisted denim shorts. The best part, it was only $9, so if down the road I realize that I am never going to wear this again, I won't feel as bad about it. I finished my look with this kick ass headband from Target that was very necessary.
Second, I finally have 4th of July off. As someone who works in retail, I usually do not get the 4th of July off, until this year. So I was determined to actually go out and celebrate. My family and I are currently down in Wrightsville Beach. We've been coming here for years and this year we decided to have a more relaxed vacation. We went to the local coffee shop, SUNdays Surf Cafe, to grab some coffee and breakfast, then we headed out onto the crowded beach.
We ended the day with exploring downtown Wilmington which is super quaint. Anna and I are planning on returning to downtown to explore some more since we got rained out.
Note: Look at how adorable my parents are.
